Join Cleveland Fibre Arts at Land of Iron and discover the creative possibilities of iron printing.

There are two separate workshops, taking place on Friday 7 August and Friday 21 August 2026. Both workshops run from 10am to 1pm and offer the same hands-on activity.

When booking, please select the workshop date you would like to attend.

Create your own iron prints

Work alongside experienced artists from Cleveland Fibre Arts, using iron ore pigment, gum arabic and glue to create your own printed cards and pictures.

All materials are provided, including aprons, and you can take your finished work home with you.

The iron pigment should wash out, but this is a hands-on creative activity, so please wear clothing suitable for messy crafts.

The workshops are suitable for visitors of any age.

Tickets

Tickets are £5 per person, plus a 50p online booking fee.

Everyone attending the workshop requires a ticket, including accompanying adults.

Ticket Tailor will also give you the option to make a voluntary donation to Land of Iron. The donation amount can be changed or removed during checkout.

Advance booking is recommended.

Children and supervision

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Both children and accompanying adults require a ticket.

These workshops accompany Ironstone Memories: Cleveland Fibre Arts Textile Exhibition, on display at Land of Iron from 20 July to 31 October 2026.

The exhibition brings together textile art, local heritage and the story of East Cleveland and North Yorkshire’s ironstone mining landscape.
