7th May 2026 - 7th May 2026

Tees Cottage Pumping Station welcomes thousands of visitors each year and stands as the very first of Teesside’s many historic waterworks. In this engaging virtual talk, George Beautyman leads audiences on a journey through the story of Tees Cottage, exploring the challenges of domestic water supply in the early 19th century and the transformative legislation that followed. Discover how these developments laid the foundations for the clean, reliable water supply we often take for granted today.
