Geology Experience
Get hands on with Land of Iron’s rock collection, to learn about Sedimentary, Igneous and Metamorphic rocks. Revise the topic with a game or two of rock bingo before learning about the geography of Skinningrove
Geologist Dig
You never know what you might find! Fossils? Pebbles? Get your trowel ready to become Geologists out on a dig! Take part in table top field work all year round and in warmer months venture down to Skinningrove Beach for the session.
Faraday Workshop
In 1829, the world famous Physicist and Chemist Michael Faraday visited the Loftus Alum mine. Take part in experiments at the museum bring to life Faraday’s work in the development of electricity and magnetism!
